MYSELF I live in the coastal town of South Shields which is situated on the South Bank of the River Tyne, the capital being Newcastle Upon Tyne. Newcastle is in the North East of England and is approximately 80 miles from the Scottish border My home is about 3 miles from the coast, yet only a short drive west and you enter the Northumbrian countryside where there is the most beautiful part of England including many Castles and cathedrals. a little South is the Lake District, with many beautiful lakes where many go boating , sailing and camping.
